Experts at the World Health Organization (WHO) believe that the world is closer to another influenza pandemic than at any time since 1968, when the last of the previous century´s three pandemics occurred. Consequently, President Bush requested to fund the National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza. The National Strategy guides our preparedness and response to influenza pandemic.
